Overbrook-Nippon Network on Educational Technology

 

The Overbrook-Nippon Network on Educational Technology is a regional initiative that is expanding the use of assistive technology for blind and low vision persons in Southeast Asia to help increase educational access and expand employment opportunities.

The ON-NET program, is a collaborative effort of the Overbrook School for the Blind www.obs.org and The Nippon Foundation www.nippon-foundation.or.jp that serves eight countries in Southeast Asia (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam). ON-NET promotes efforts within the participating countries and fosters regional collaboration and information exchange between countries that is creating a regional network of individuals and organizations that are working together to use new developments in information technology to promote education and employment on blind and low vision person..
